Happy Birthday Pearl!

Dear Pearl,

You are FIVE today.. ;-)

I thought of doing many things today... But, somehow, I am not in a right state of mind.

But.. I wanna confess... You have been a true Friend and a real source of joy for me since you were born...

You were there when I was in my worst phase... and I ignored you... You were there in my best phase when I was too happy to share anything with you... Without complain....

I wish you were human.. But... wait.. I am glad you are not human or else you would have left me for someone else in my bad time :-)

I love you for being with me... :-)

A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY LOVE! :-)

Cheers!
Deepika

'Shopping festival: Two days @trade fair'- 2

DAY 2

In just 7-8 times, I travel in metro like a pro.. :D.. Lol I don't believe I wrote an entire post on travelling in a metro... crazy me... Now, I enter in a metro station runs towards 'women only' coach and reach my destination wherever it may be... I find Metro convenient.. :-))

Coming to my second day of shopping at IITF... It wasn't there in my day's plan... But, since, I was highly motivated to go to IITF again and knowing the fact I had only one Sunday... I decided to sacrifice... :P

My 'Mela shopping buddy' was running in Delhi Marathon... So, I called up another friend and asked 'trade fair chalna hai' and in a fraction of second he said 'chal'...

It was 10.30am... And we met at Pragati Maidan metro at 12.30pm... Though, I am somewhat new to the list of metro travellers... I have never seen this much crowd at one place ever in my life... :-P.. I was not walking... I was pushed to move ahead... :P

Fighting through the crowd... I reached outside and waited for my friend.. He joined me in 5mins. . We started walking... Walking and walking :P

Entered inside the trade fair.. And started checking out stuff...

Oh! I can't explain the kind of perfumes I checked out at Bahrain's stall... It was heavenly... That fragrance was mesmerizing... I was sticking there for almost 15 mins to bargain since it was very expensive... But, I failed to bargain... We moved forward... All the while I was thinking of those perfumes... But, no worries... I'll buy them from Bahrain itself... ;-)) :-)

I was very interested in visiting Pakistan pavilion once again for the awesome stuff I bought on Saturday... I got some more on Sunday...

This time I bought chocolates, jellies and more stuff to eat for family... And we ate a lot there as well... :P

In evening around 5-5.30pm we heard Sufi music sound coming from open theatre.. We checked out it was amazing... A live band was playing... We stopped there for a while and decided to come back after some more shopping... We shopped more...

And.. in the end @6.30pm... We went and enjoyed open theatre dance performances for dunno how long... Rejuvenating it was after a long tiring day... I was lost in music... :-))

We left around 7.15pm... And I directly carried on with my pending weekend tasks... Reached home by 11pm... Super duper tired...

But, both days were great... I clicked less pictures on day 2... Sharing them below...

Pearl's 5th birthday is coming very soon... yayyy.. I am excited :-))

Thank you God, for being there... Please give me strength and bless my people... :-)

'Shopping festival: Two days @ trade fair'- 1

DAY 1

Well.. Since, festival is something we celebrate I would like to call my this Saturday & Sunday as a 'shopping festival weekend' as I celebrated shopping... :-))

This weekend I ended up spending my two days back to back doing shopping... :D

Credit or blame... whatever you may say.. it goes to the annual IITF i.e. 'Indian international Trade Fair'... And I spent two days back to back there... Aah! super tiring it was, but.. I loved it thoroughly...

So, it started with a thought in my li'l devil mind on Saturday morning.. I was sipping my coffee and thinking... Out of the blue... I recalled that IITF is here in Delhi and I dunno when was the last time I went there and enjoyed... I recalled graduation days when I went with my friends... And back in time... I was in class 8th in school when I went with mom...

So, I decided to visit IITF... I messaged my all time 'mela shopping buddy'.. Yes, our duo specialises in mela shopping... Walking through massive crowd, finding our way towards shops and bargaining crazily... :P

We decided to meet at a common metro station... So, I reached metro and looked for him and from there our celebration began for this shopping festival... :D

I was very excited... We reached there by 12.30 pm and started randomly by visiting halls... It was great fun... We started with shopping and bagged some great deals.. It feels like a winner when you bargain well and get the stuff for the price quoted by you... I bought stuff for my mom and he bought for his wife and sister...

We entered in international pavilions and I still don't believe the kind of stuff I bargained and bought... It felt great...

In west Bengal, I loved a red saree so I asked for rate half of the actual price though I knew it was not possible for the kinda stuff it was... But, I cracked it and bagged it for exactly the half rate... I told shopkeeper "bhaiya, main bahut lucky hun, ab dekho apki sale kaise hoti hai.." He actually sold many more in next 20 mins and when I passed by again he stopped and said "apki raashi bahut shubh hai" and told me about he sold many more and was sounding very happy... :-)) that was my 'Moment of the day'... :-D

We shopped some more stuff, used ATM's many times... :P.. Ate a lot and by end of the day we were dead tired... We boarded metro and came back home, I reached by 9pm...

My mom dad loved the stuff I bought in the money I spent... It further encouraged me to spend more... So, the part 2 of the festival began...

Will share my day 2 very soon.... Till the time... I am sharing the pics clicked on day 1... My fone has become my camera now days... :-))

Cya soon Pearl...! :-)) muaah..

Thank you God for all the blessings.. Love you :))

For old times' sake! :)

Sometimes, in fact most of the times, I really find myself paralysed when its about expressing anything... I am really a difficult human being and I hate myself for being so...

I try so hard at times to say or do certain things which I just can’t do... It’s like an injury or a disability... disability of expressing me to the people who matter the most... :-(

Yesterday, I went to my college campus with an old friend of mine... It sounds funny but yes, I am in search of my self... What I was... what I am.... what happened... what changed.... and what not... I know I am crazily weird at times but that’s ok... I should like myself... the way I am... Rest, doesn’t really matter! :P

So, since I was going through this emotional turmoil... And was trying to figure out what actually is wrong with me I decided to look back.... back in time where I was truly happy... I know I was a very different individual at that point of time but, I need to understand me.... discover more of myself...
I decided to go back to my campus... I miss my college days... So, I along with my friend decided to live one day... the way we used to live 7 years back...

I wore my sports shoes, took my fone, some cash in pocket (like I used to do in college) and took metro for my campus... I reached there by 10.30am... Met my friend there and we started walking towards our breakfast junction.... On the way, I was searching for “bhelpuri wale uncle”... He wasn’t there so I asked another vendor standing there about him; I got to know that he comes around 1pm... I was happy to know he is all well...

We reached our old adda for breakfast and asked for “meetha samosa” the guy said it was out of stock and they’ll be making it soon again... We ordered “aloo samosa”, tea & my black coffee... finished it and proceeded...

On the way, we ate our desi burger from a thela... And continued walking towards a decent place to sit... we went to our old place where we used to eat... but it was locked... We visited our department in Science faculty... And finally, we decided to sit inside the law faculty campus... We sat there and talked for almost 2 hours... About how life changed, our learnings from job life and so on...

We realized it was 1pm.... bhelpuri time.... So, we started walking... I saw uncle, he was looking old and weak.... He recognised me instantly... I wanted to ask him for photo but somehow, I find it impossible to say things which I should... We ate bhelpuri... All the while, I was thinking of asking uncle for a picture but I was not able to... while leaving... I clicked his picture where he was surrounded by people...

We decided to go to our college and sit there... We went to our college canteen and ate our favourite “triangle wala dosa” with flavoured milk... We then decided to sit there for some time... Again we continued sharing about life and happenings and we realised it was 4.30pm...

We headed towards our favourite “Pastry shop” and ordered our favourite “Rum ball”... finished it and decided to take a round of “Kamla Nagar Market”... It was truly nostalgic... though it changed a lot in 7 years... I purchased “Anklets” for my Goa collection.... While leaving market we saw “Giani’s” and ate ice-cream...

My friend said, “Main ja raha hun meethe samose khaane, tera kya plan hai” it was so like him... And I replied, “mera bhi yehi plan hai” and we started walking towards our destination.... We ate our “Meethe Samose” and it was 6pm...

We decided to leave for home.... So, we waved hands and took our respective metros...

I luckily got seat in metro and as usual I was lost in my thoughts... And realised I reached my destination...

I was a great day indeed... I was not carrying my camera so I clicked few pics from my fone which I am going to share... Each one with a story to tell....

Thank you God, once again for everything... Love you! Bless my people... :-)
