Y Y Y :-(

During my MBA one of my lecturers told me…. You are going to start with a new life…. Your professional life… and I wanna tell you something important take it seriously and follow it “Don’t trust anybody” and there are three golden rules to succeed….

Rule#1- There are no friends at work place

Rule#2- There are no friends at workplace

Rule#3- Again there are no friends at workplace

Never forget these lines and all the best!

I agreed to him…. And started with my office….. Of course there are many things we need to learn practically no matter how many times we read them….. And we truly learn them after we fall down….

And my recent learning was to recall all these 3 important rules….… Of course I am a human being its not a sin if I trust people and try to help them out by thinking that they might not be so bad and cruel….. by thinking that they are so like me…. New to this world of professionalism….. quite innocent to play dirty politics…. And I was wrong… I was not shocked but I was upset….. I was not shocked coz I’ve heard that it will happen…. I was upset coz I never thought this will actually happen….

I have friends with work experience who share their professional life and politics in office…. And I never thought someday I’ll face it so practically…..

I am confused….. Whether to fight with God or to say thanks for teaching me this lesson…. People do bad things play dirty games…. But it hurts when someone you trusted does the same…
By the way….. Thank you God…. It was a good learning… I’ll safeguard myself from the next time…..

And one more thing God…. Why don’t you spare me from teaching at least one negative thing… why I need to learn all these painful things practically huh….

Anyhow! I love you… And thanks for being there for me…. I am glad at least you are there for me….. Please protect me from being bad(I mean more bad than what I am already ;))…. And give me power and patience to deal with such things around me….

Thank you…. Muah :) :)

  1. Hey deepika.. nice name btw.. ;-)

I so agree with the politics at work thing.. my whole point was, even if it happens, I don't want to be a part of it.. and it has been horrible..

Nevertheless, I still have friends at work.. but these remain people who strictly don't have a day to day work with!!

u know its worse when, u and a friend work together.. and differences creep up.. coz of work!!

nice read though.. and sorry i just vented out like that!

  6. hey... dnt be :-(
this is a fact which you have to accept....
best formulae is to be happy go lucky... be friends with everyone at work... crack jokes, be friendly but same time DON'T TRUST ANYONE... dnt expect... Dont expect ppl to be kind with you..

And waise how can u tell GOD to teach u in easy way... He can't come and tell u things... what he can do is send messages via ppl... like he did once via ur lecturers... it was u who thought this wont actually happen...

Now u have learnt so be carefull nd njoii the game... nd dnt be sad... the movie has just started... abhi to pitcure baaki hai mere dost.... ;)

  7. The biggest troubles come in life when you mix professionalism with friendhip.. And now a days it is really hard to differentiate between both..
True friendship is really hard to find..

  17. yaar... Koi pitcure tragic nhi hoti...

Uljhey nhi to kaise suljhoge.... agarr problems nhi milengi to solutions kaise milenge...

Sab burey nhi hotey... insaan sabhi ache hote hain... Situation insaan ko change karti hai... Nd same applies on u, me or anyone...

And achey logon k sath to sab kaam kar lete hain.... Burey logon ke handle karne waley he killler hote hain.... Samjhi?

  21. Hi,

This is a very good blog that you've got up and running. Kudos.

You must be aware that IIFA is looking for bloggers to blog about their IIFA event this year in Colombo.

Apart from an all expenses paid trip to Colombo to rub shoulders with celebrities and blog about it, there are many other goodies given away in the competition.

I think you will be a very good candidate. For more info, check out

  22. Hi Deepika,

This is a hard reality, we are different in our professional world and in our personal world. That is what even happens with others. So, if we want to make friends (actual friends, not companion), we need to get personally involved with other and that should be mutually, otherwise its not possible.

Second, helping others in the best thing to be done, but if it is done without any expectation. So, if you are helping someone continue doing it, but don't expect same from them because they are not your friends they are some strangers.

Rest Life is always beautiful, its how we see it... :)
